Exploring Interwoven

In Interwoven, Black hair culture is woven into an analogy for the human experience while celebrating Black care and intimacy.

A brown-skined climbs a golden single swing set.

I have been working alongside National Theatre Wales, Unlimited and a brilliant creative team to:

  • Gather stories

  • Develop the script

  • Look at set design

  • Explore movement on the Interwoven swing

  • Research a version of relaxed performances with neurodiverse audiences in mind

An Unlimited UK Partner Award 2023-2024 commission with National Theatre Wales made possible thanks to funding from Arts Council Wales.
